Huge Vintage Sweater Score

I recently visited my uncle in California and found quite a lot of new Christmas sweaters for the 2011 collection. In total I was able to bring home about 130 vintage units that range in men’s and women’s size small medium and large. There are even some XL and XXL units available. I was only in California for a few days so I had to order all of my Christmas sweaters beforehand, my uncle was kind enough to receive all of the packages that I had ordered and keep them in the guest bedroom for me.

You see living up here in Canada it can be very hard to mail order sweaters. Many sellers only ship within the continental US, making it very hard to get a wide variety of vintage Christmas sweaters for my customers. Of course my goal for 2011 is to get the ugliest tackiest and cheesiest Christmas sweaters in North America and sell them to both Canada and the continental US. Even more important than getting ugly and tacky sweaters this year is being able to get about 1000. This is nearly 10 times as many sweaters as I had to sell last year and I needed to find some extra resources to build my inventory.

As you can see by the pictures I received about 80 Christmas sweaters in mailbags and about 50 more in parcels. Since I had flown down it was going to be a unique challenge to put 130 Christmas sweaters on an airplane and fly them back to Canada. I ended up going to the local FedEx store and finding boxes that were just big enough to fit into checked luggage and would not have to be sent as freight. After unpacking all of the Christmas sweaters and folding them properly for transportation, I ended up with two boxes that weighed more than 50 pounds. Instead of having to pay the overage fee of $50 per box I decided to take 10 pounds of sweaters out of each large box and add a third small box to the delivery. Why pay $200 when you can pay $60 for the same thing?

I suppose all I have to do now is unpack all the Christmas sweaters and put them into their own boxes, to have ready to sell in the 2011 collection.
