Well… it’s been my first month actively producing enough sweaters to reach my goal of 1000 by October. I’m starting to find a good rhythm now. Last year, I would make a holiday sweater, take pictures, post them online and then do the writeup. Doing this one by one really extended the amount of time required to make one. This year, I have started by making a batch of ten, taking pictures for all of them, and creating a master folder of ugly sweaters.
I suppose the next stage will be uploading all of them at once, and writing descriptions for all of them in a batch. I’ll probably end up taking my laptop on trips and finding wi-fi that’s available when I’m waiting for flights or on the ferry back to Vancouver island. This way, I’ll have an opportunity to write proper descriptions when there’s really nothing else to do.
I'll me making quite a few of this style this year, each will have three different stockings, three different ornaments and ten lights.
For all of those extra light up sweaters requests that came in last year when I had sold out of them, I’ll be aiming for a 1:1 ratio of light ups vs non light ups this year so everyone will be able to get their hands on the best unit. And a special thanks to everyone that’s been signing up for my ugly christmas sweater email list, your sizing suggestions have helped to predict demand and I am getting a better understanding of sizing ranges for the 2011 collection.
