Do you think the Mayan calendar is correct?

Just in case you think this is the last year you could wear a Christmas Sweater, might as well wear this one.

He we have an awful lot of Christmas sweaters and each one is about as unique as unique can be. The designs are off the wall crazy a great deal of the time but are incredibly interesting to observe and take ideas from or notes of. However, this Doomsday Clock sweater for Christmas really takes the biscuit at being different from a mainstream crowd of designs elsewhere for many reasons.

It is made almost completely out of a red material, definitely suitable with Christmas. It appears to be felt and looks incredibly soft, which is a great plan when clothes for human wear are concerned. There are bits of green felt around the colour as well, wit little bits of lace going down the front of the sweater around the writing part.

There are many little bits and bobs attached to this sweater as well to make it even more interesting. There is large, material snowmen attached t the sleeves at the front and giant Santa hats at the back. There are also plastic snowflakes dotted around and small Santas adorning the front. A bigger material Santa is placed on the back of the sweater, smiling cheerfully out from it which is a major contradiction of sorts to the front of the sweater that reads ‘Doomsday Clock.’

The idea for the sweater appears to be based on the Mayan prophecy that the world will end this December, 2012. Their calendar, which went on for decades, mysteriously ended in December of this year, which leads people to believe that the world will end, like the calendar, on this date. This is causing major panic across the world at this very moment, which is likely to escalate the closer this ‘doomsday’ countdown gets. The same has been happening for every end of the world/ apocalypse scare that has happened over the years.

The sweater, which reads ‘Doomsday Clock’ shows that December will be a time of counting down until the worlds end, if it happens at all. We may not even have a Christmas opportunity to use this sweater for if the world ends!

So, this design is a strange one alright, but it does raise awareness to this popular rumour as of late. This has been the foretold end of the world for decades upon decades and it is getting people worked up. Well, lets hope the effort gone into making this sweater doesn’t go to waste if the world does end!
