Sick of bouncing around website to website only to spend hours filling up your shopping cart when to your detriment all that time you put in was with a store that doesn’t ship to Canada? It’s the worst, eh?
When amazon.ca doesn’t even sell Christmas Sweaters, you know there’s some digging around the bowels of the web in your near future. What? I can’t prime a sweater to my front door by 8:00am tomorrow? Sadly not. While it remains a mystery to some, others hypothesize that the majority of stores online won’t ship to Canada for any number of reasons:
- It’s too high risk – the package may freeze and snap.
- The internet won’t accept Canadian money.
- Canadians don’t celebrate Christmas; nor do they party.
- When it’s warm enough to leave the house we usually just end up at Tim Hortons.
- Only 3.1% of Canadians have the internet, and its dial up.
Fortunately, some of our good friends down south have warmed up to the notion of shipping Christmas sweaters of all shapes and sizes to Canada…. And they’re darn speedy at it too. Here are the three most affordable and reliable online stores that ship ugly, naughty, light up and traditional Christmas Sweaters to Canada:
These beauties have been around since Christmas met the Sweater. Well, at least since Christmas Sweaters became the hottest thing since sliced bread back in 2009. This firm has been pumping out some of the most hilarious and innovative designs I’ve seen in all my years as an ugly xmas sweater addict. Even better, they’ve added a ton of new inventory for the 2014 season that ships to Canada faster than you can hire a Newfy to work a rig in Fort McMurray.
I wouldn’t call them late to the party, but even if they were, I’m sure the outfit was more than enough to forgive the tardiness. Since their inception in 2011, Tipsy Elves has become one of the hottest Christmas Sweater brands internationally within a mere three years of operations. As a matter of fact, in year two, they garnished a $100,000 investment from Robert Herjavec as featured on an incredibly memorable episode of Dragon’s Den. Time to expand right? Bingo. Tipsy Elves has a huge selection and strategically positioned inventory that allows people to order Christmas sweaters in Canada, the UK, and of course the United States in the blink of an eye.
A bid of a sleeping giant if you ask me. These fellas have managed to bring in a fantastic assortment of retro and vintage designed Christmas sweaters at rock bottom prices. Their niche is obviously 80s pop culture, so expect to see some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Jem and the Holograms, and even Transformers plastered amongst their wide selection of Christmas Sweaters that are available on the cheap to Canada. The only thing to be mindful of is the shipping expense, I found them to be the highest priced for delivery amongst my top three Canadian friendly vendors this year.
